Hire on Evidence

Choosing a co-founder happens once or twice. Hiring never stops — and the cost of a wrong hire is paid for months. Most bad hires were not bad people; the founder simply never had real proof, and hired on impression.

Instructions: Run this for one candidate at a time. First say whether the role is junior or experienced — that changes the advice. Then, for each of the three wings — Talent, Initiative, Integrity — pick the evidence you honestly have. The tool does not rate the candidate; it rates how much you actually know. Where your evidence is thin, it tells you how to get real proof before you commit. And hold one rule throughout: if it is not a clear yes, it is a clear no.

Already mid-flight? You can run this compass on its own — it doesn't need the earlier stages first. To follow the full sequence, start at Purpose.
